When and how this certificate came into existence?

The OBC certificate came into existence in 1993 and implemented by the former Prime Minister of India, V.P.Singh. The main motive of this certificate was to get free education to get jobs in the Government sector, Public Sectors etc this documents also give government subsidies. Individual who hold this certificate will be laiable to get particular concession and can enjoy the relaxation of marks in entrance exams which will benefit them get into top colleges and universities in India such as IITs, IIMs etc. The Non Creamy Layer Certificate is issued by the collector or Tahsildar of the respective State Government. Every state in India have different procedure to obtain this certificate.

Who is Eligible for this certificate?
  • Applicant should be citizen of India, and he should belong to the OBC category.
  • Applicant’s both the parents or any one of them should be working in Group C class and D class of the Central Government of India. 
  • If the applicant is work ing under Group B class of the Central Government India and if his/her parents do not have income or a ny fix source of income, than he/she can apply for the OBC certificate.
  • Individual whose income is above 8 lakh falls under the Creamy Layer of OBC. If individual is earning less than 8 lakh per annum makes him to come under the Non-Creamy Layer.
  • If woman whose husband is a Central Government servant, she will be eligible to get the certificate. But if woman parents have fix source of income she will be intelligible.

Who is not eligible to apply for Non Creamy Layer Certificate? 
  • Applicants who belong to other caste other than Central Government’s list of OBC category.
  • IPS, IAS, IFS will not be able to apply for certificate.
  • If applicant parents work under Group B or C of Central government or Group 1 of the respective State Government, than the applicant will not be eligible for certificate.
  • If annual income of parents’ is more than eight lakhs. Beside income of farming will not be eligible for certificate

What is procedure to apply for OBC certificate? 
  • Applicant has to buy an 20 rs. Stamp Paper
  • Applicant has to make a affidavit from Notary officer. 
  • Applicant has to submit all the relative documents with affidavit.
  • On verifing and passing the application the applicant will be able to get certificate.
What is the procedure to get OBC certificate offline? 
  • Applicant have to get application form from DM office, Sdm office,Tehsil office or Revenue office.
  • Applicant has to fill application for a caste certificate.
  • Applicant has to give reason for migration from the home state in case of shifting of state. 
  • If applicant father is deceased than applicant have to caste certificate from blood relative.
  • Applicant has to true copy or Sign the self-attested to all his/her documents. 
  • Applicant has to Affix a passport size photograph in form and submit for verification. 
  • Applicant has to wait for another 40-45 day to get caste certificate.

  • After filling form Submit the form with required documents and data with proof.
  • After submitting the form , applicant will receive an reference number which you can use to check the status of the application.
  • After getting sms on register mobile no, you can download the caste certificate from the same portal.
